Book the next appointment before this one is done

Part of marketing is the process of making it easier and more pleasant to do business with you.  One important process that will yield large returns to your practice is forward-booking, or making sure that you book your client's next appointment before they leave the current one.  This seems simple, but many practices do not do this, and as a consequence, they can also have more than half of all follow-up appointments unfulfilled.  

Some people say that there is no way that they know what their schedule is 6 or 12 months down the road.  This may be true, but setting a future appointment on your calendar serves as a reminder for both parties that will result in follow up to decide when to fulfill the needed action.  Thus, even though the appointment might change, having it on the calendar will remind you to get it done.

This process of forward booking will greatly increase transactions and successful follow ups if used by every person in your firm.
