Important member of your team:  Human Resources Specialist

The people in your practice are most important.  Your clients and your team are essential to a healthy practice.  A great team to serve your clients is of utmost importance to establishing and maintaining a healthy practice.  Therefore, having the right resources and expertise to ensure that your people are taken care of is crucial!

Identify someone who has the expertise in human resources (HR) management to help you serve your team.  Human resources specialists manage employee recruitment, on-boarding, training, management, discimpline, and dismissals.  Their duties range from screening job candidates and conducting interviews to performing background checks and providing orientation to new employees.

In addition, HR specialists are crucial to ensure a pleasant and effective workplace, managing expectations and helping to work through the unavoidable challenges that arise.  They are important in your risk management to help avoid situations that put your business at risk.

Take care of your team, and they will take care of you.  Look for a resource that is knowledgeable and available to provide HR expertise and guidance.  Ensure that you have well-defined employment guidelines for all employees.  Make certain that all documentation is within the requirements of state and federal labor guidelines, and provide clarity and punctuality regarding compensation, benefits, and other employee programs.  Employees treasure certainty.  Provide clarity and certainty with regards to employment practices and your employees will be grateful.

Every team should have an HR specialist, or access to one who can serve your needs.
